Physical Education

At Arnolds Creek Primary School, Physical Education (PE) supports students to become confident, capable and curious learners who value movement, health and wellbeing. Guided by the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM) 2.0, our program focuses on developing students’ knowledge, skills and understanding through engaging, inclusive and purposeful learning experiences.

Students develop fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, kicking and balancing, while also building teamwork, resilience, problem-solving and communication skills. Through a variety of sports, games and physical challenges, students are encouraged to explore, question and reflect on their learning.

We also focus in helping students apply their knowledge beyond the classroom. We encourage students to make connections between physical activity, healthy lifestyle choices and their everyday lives, fostering an understanding of how movement contributes to lifelong health and wellbeing.

Our lessons provide opportunities for all students to experience success, challenge themselves and develop confidence in their abilities. Through events such as Cross Country, Athletics Day and interschool sport, students can apply their skills in authentic settings while building school pride and a sense of community.

At Arnolds Creek Primary School, we aim to inspire a lifelong appreciation for physical activity by nurturing curiosity, promoting personal growth and empowering students to make informed choices that support active and healthy lives.
